Monarch Fest Caterpillar Adoption Zoom Presentation
Program Description: Would you like to see first-hand how a monarch caterpillar changes into a butterfly? If you have a source of milkweed, you are invited to sign up to attend one of the Monarch Fest Caterpillar Adoption Zoom Presentations at 9am or 10:30am on Saturday, July 11th (space is limited). During the zoom presentation you will learn how to care for your caterpillar, why pollinators are important, and how to help pollinators thrive. Participants will receive a time via email to attend our curbside caterpillar adoption (while supplies last)!
Monarch caterpillars will ONLY eat milkweed, so if you do NOT have a source of milkweed or if the zoom presentations are full, you can click here to register for resources on how to find your own caterpillar and how to plant and care for milkweed so you are ready to join us in future years! Please read through the highlighted items below CAREFULLY prior to completing your registration.
Registration Opens Monday, June 22 at 12pm!
- Please provide a valid email upon check out. Additional information, including a Zoom link will be sent at approximately 9am on Thursday, July 9 via email! If you do not receive this information, please check your spam folder!
- Neither Indian Creek Nature Center nor Monarch Zones will be able to provide you with milkweed for your caterpillar to eat. You MUST have a milkweed source available in order to adopt a caterpillar! If you are unable to feed or care for your caterpillar, your caterpillar will die.
- You will be assigned a curbside adoption pick up time based on the order in which you register. ICNC staff will EMAIL you with your pick up window (curbside pick ups will run July 11 or 12 between 12-6pm). You will NOT be able to select your pick up time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- Zoom sessions may be recorded in the event that technology issues prevent an attendee of completing a session.
