The Log Project

Join artists from The Log Project to explore and share experiences from the Iowa Derecho. See how logs collected from around the city are being transformed into a book made of wood, each page a slice from a tree downed by the storm. Participants will be invited to talk about and write or draw something about their experience in the derecho, adding their story to the project. The Log Project is supported in part by the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment for the Arts. 

Pre-registration is required for these programs. We cannot accept walk-in participants. Thank you!

Fee: Suggested donation of $5-$10 per person

Donations collected will aid Indian Creek Nature Center with Derecho recovery efforts.
