Backyard Chickens Workshop (In Person)

 

Learn the basic information you need to raise hens in urban and suburban areas. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, enabling them to get a permit to legally keep chickens in Cedar Rapids and other communities.

 

Cost (per household): Member $12; Non-Member $15

 

​Please note: If your registration contains multiple participants, a certificate will only be issued to the purchaser (one certificate per household). The purchaser must be present at the class to receive the certificate. Pre-registration is required for this program. We cannot accept walk-in participants. Thank you!

Cancellation Policy
To be eligible for a fee refund or transfer, ICNC requires a 48-hour advance notice for all cancellations. Eligible cancelled registrations can either be refunded or applied to another registration. All registrations refunded via credit card or check are charged an administrative processing fee of 20%. Registrations refunded via electronic gift card are not subject to a processing fee. Only in cases of extreme weather or other extenuating circumstances will ICNC cancel a scheduled program. All programs cancelled by ICNC will receive a full refund via original payment method.
